PIA reduces 27% fares for students

News Editor 18 February, 2023

In order to help students, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has lowered the prices of tickets for students travelling from Pakistan to China. This change went into effect right away.

According to the facts, the national flag carrier has raised the discount rate on its fares for students who want to travel to China from 22% to 27%.

At the moment, PIA has two flights a week, on Sunday and Wednesday, between Islamabad and Beijing and between Islamabad and Chengdu.

Students from Pakistan and other people who want to go to China to study at schools there could benefit from the new prices.

Because of the COVID-19 travel restrictions, a lot of Pakistani students who were studying in Chinese universities could not go back to Pakistan. After all travel restrictions are lifted, they plan to go back to China to take classes in person. The Chinese government has given them permission to go back.

Tehsin Ahmad, a Pakistani student who talked to APP, said that the lower fare would make it much easier for Pakistani students who want to go home and go back to school.

He said that a lot of students could now take advantage of the cheaper tickets and go back to their universities in China.
