Webdesk: Celine Dion released new music on Thursday. It is her first since admitting last year that she had a rare neurological disease that affected her vocals.
Five new songs and former successes are on Love Again, the soundtrack for a film of the same name.
Love Again is a James C. Strouse-directed romantic comedy. Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion play key parts.
Dion’s first since 2019’s Courage.
I enjoyed making this film. “To appear with the beautiful and talented actors Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan in my very first feature film is a gift that I will cherish forever,” Dion added.
“I think it’s a wonderful feel-good story. I hope that people will like it, and like the new songs too,” Dion remarked.
Jim Strouse’s romantic comedy opens May 5.
Dion announced in an emotional Instagram video in December that she had been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome and would not be ready to start a European tour in February.
She said that muscle spasms were “not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”
Afterward, The 2019 Courage World Tour was halted by the COVID-19 epidemic after 52 gigs.
Moreover, Health issues forced her to cancel the North American trip.
Eight of her summer gigs were canceled, while her spring European dates in the Czech Republic were postponed till 2024.
The Grammy winner’s first global concert tour since her husband-manager Rene Angelil died of cancer in 2016 may have been this one.
