Yaser Rauf Joyia: For the first time in my cricket life, Pakistan has gotten all the strength in every department of the game. Whether it is electric fielding, furious pace, spin web, or masterclass batting counterattack, PCT has gotten answers to all the questions of the game.
If we go back to the past, since 2007, batting remained weak in our game, and we relied too much on our bowling department. This was the core reason behind failing against our arch rival India as they had strong batting lineup against our strong bowling but we used to fail in the same department and even their weak bowling attack made us lick the dust.
But, if we see our recent cricket team, we’ve ever best batting and bowling lineups. Our top three batters, Babar, Imam, and Fakhar, are in top rankings while the world’s most deadliest bowling attack in the form of Haris, Shaheen and Naseem is ready to leave its mark upon its opponents. Shadab, Nawaz, and Usama are ready to make a spin web around their rivals and to trap them through their magical deliveries.
One of the departments where we’ve improved a lot is fielding. Everyone is putting his heart out in this department. Shadab, Fakhar, Imam, Haris Rauf , Usama, and Abdullah Shafiq have proved themselves in this part of the game. Our fielding can do wonders here as well.
All the reasons mentioned above have made PCT fans keep a firm belief in this team. That’s why we all are eyeing on CWC 2023 being held in India and hoping that our team will lift the World Cup trophy and make the whole nation proud.
