Prime Minister Demands Unwavering Compliance with Apex Committee Decisions for Enhanced Security

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif recently presided over a meeting in the capital city of Islamabad, where he emphasized the importance of maintaining law and order in the country. The prime minister made it clear that the protection of citizens is the top priority of the government, and there will be no compromise on security.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister directed the authorities to fully implement the decisions taken by the Apex Committee. He also instructed the Interior Minister to visit the four provinces to improve coordination and communication between the center and the provinces for the betterment of the law and order situation.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need for law enforcement agencies to be equipped with modern weapons and equipment, and for the capacity of counter-terrorism departments in the provinces to be enhanced. The security matters of the four provinces, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Azad Kashmir were reviewed during the meeting.

The meeting was informed that steps are being taken to streamline safe city projects in large cities. On the instructions of the Prime Minister, the federal interior secretary visited the four provinces to assess the issues faced by the provinces and to review the resources needed to improve the law and order situation in the country.

In attendance at the meeting were Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah Khan, Special Assistants to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatimi and Jehanzeb Khan, chief secretaries of the four provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Commissioner of the Capital Territory Islamabad, Inspectors General of Police of the provinces, Gilgit Baltistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and other relevant officials.
