Lahore: Shah Mahmood Qureshi, vice president of the PTI, and Fawad Chaudhry, a former minister reached Lahore hight court. Talking to media outside LHC, He said that the party had decided to go to the Lahore High Court (LHC) to fight the implementation of Section 144.

“We’re waiting for the registrar. As soon as he gets here, we’ll tell him about this urgent situation,” he said.

He added that the caretaker government was trying to “make a fight” so that the PSL game could be called off and PTI workers could be arrested.

“We tried to stop this yesterday and will try to do so again today through legal means,” he said. “We decided to stay calm and not lose our temper over the chaos that the government had made.”

Fawad Chaudhry, on the other hand, said that elections couldn’t happen because of the tension in the province. He asked the court to hear the petition right away because “the Constitution is in danger.”

The PTI filed a petition with the LHC today. The petition asked that the Punjab government’s orders to put Section 144 in place in Lahore be overturned in the name of “justice, fair play, and equity.”

It also said that the government should make sure the PTI rally has enough security.
