Lahore: On Wednesday, A party worker of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf died during police clashes in Lahore, claimed PTI.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan tweeted that provincial police brutally killed party worker Ali Bilal in clashes near his Zaman Park home.

“Ali Bilal unarmed & our loyal & passionate PTI worker slain by Punjab police,” the former PM tweeted.

“Murderers rule Pakistan. IG, CCPO, and others will face murder charges” said.

PTI leaders Farrukh Habib, Azhar Mashwani, and Mussarat Cheema repeated charges that Punjab police brutalised rally attendees.

“The fascist administration is ruthless beyond measure. Police brutality killed PTI veteran Ali Bilal. The imported regime is killing political workers “Farrukh Habib tweeted.

Moreover, PTI leaders claimed police tortured protesters in the provincial capital. With claims that Lahore had been placed under Section 144, forbidding public assemblies, the party claimed that its “peaceful” activists were arrested.

Further, PTI leader Imran Khan accused the caretaker administration of cracking down on PTI supporters to avoid Punjab province elections.

“To resort to disorder, but we will not let them succeed,” Imran warned party workers in a televised speech.

In a notification released earlier in the day, the Punjab caretaker administration banned all assemblies, gatherings, and demonstrations due to “severe security dangers” and “disruption of traffic”.

The PTI planned a power show rally in the provincial capital today.

Moreover, PTI chairman and former premier Imran Khan questioned under what law the Punjab caretaker government enforced the ban noting that “hardly 55 days [are] remaining” for provincial elections after the dissolution of the provincial assembly.

Imran called the ban “brazen disregard” of the Supreme Court.
