Webdesk: Robert De Niro, who just became a dad again at age 79, wants everyone to meet his baby.
On Saturday, June 17, 2023, while watching A Bronx Tale at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City, the 79-year-old actor told People Magazine that his six oldest children haven’t met his 2-month-old daughter Gia Virginia, whom he has with his lover Tiffany Chen.
“Not yet, but they will,” he said about his kids.
Drena, 51, and Raphael, 46, are De Niro’s children with his first wife, Diahnne Abbott. Julian and Aaron, twins who are 27 years old, are his children with model and actor Toukie Smith. Elliot, 24, and Helen, 11, are his children with Grace Hightower.
The star said that on Father’s Day, he will “just spend it with the kids and all that.”
On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the star from “The Irishmen” got to meet his new baby. In May, on an episode of CBS Mornings, he publicly told the world about her and gave her full name, Gia Virginia Chen De Niro.
In a sit-down chat with ET Canada, the actor also talked about parenting and his new movie, About My Father.
“I mean, you can’t get around it when you have kids. I don’t like having to set rules and do things like that. “But sometimes you really don’t have a choice,” he said.
“And I think any parent would say the same. You always want to do the right thing for the kids and give them the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes you can’t.”
