Lahore: The Punjab government said Saturday that it would pay Rs200,000 to anyone who assists in the arrest of Lahore Corps Commander House vandals.

The province’s home department posted the vandals’ images and requested the public to help law enforcement find them, promising to keep informants’ identities anonymous.

Afterward Imran Khan’s imprisonment, violent protests killed almost a dozen and injured others.

Moreover, Khan criticized the military, and his followers burned the corps commander’s Lahore home and the army’s Rawalpindi headquarters entrance.

While, The ISPR called May 9, 2023, a “dark chapter” after supporters stormed army sites. Khan’s detention had sparked nationwide unrest.

Moreover, The ISPR termed PTI leaders “hypocrites” for inciting their workers against the military and praising the military to deflect criticism.

Afterward, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered the Punjab government to apprehend the vandals within 72 hours.

“I have given law enforcement apparatus a target of 72 hours to arrest all those involved in this inccident. All those facilitating, abetting and perpetrating the disgraceful incidents of arson, ransacking, sabotage & damaging public & private properties. The PM said after chairing a meeting at the Punjab Safe City Authority Headquarters in Lahore.

He claimed intellect and technology are being used to track these elements.

The government’s test case is prosecuting these folks. “Anti-terrorism courts will hear their cases,” he stated, adding that such terrorism is abhorrent.
