ISLAMABAD: On Monday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi called the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) alliance “practically dead,” citing disputes among the ruling partners.

The PTI leader addressed media outside an Islamabad court where he was attending a case hearing.

The PDM’s two main coalition parties, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), disagree on several matters, including flood relief funding.

In an electoral rally in Swat, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for more funding or the party will not support the budget.

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal responded that the National Economic Council and cabinet—where PPP members were present—decided everything.

The prime minister will address PPP concerns today in a meeting.

Qureshi told reporters in the federal capital that the PDM alliance’s dissolution has begun.

“Bilawal Bhutto voiced concerns in Swat yesterday. Sindh is like Bilawal says.

He also wondered why the cabinet didn’t discuss it.

The PTI vice chairman also noted Talal Chaudhry’s criticism of PPP’s alleged rigging in Azad Jammu Kashmir.

Moreover, Qureshi asked the PML-N why it voted for PPP in Karachi’s mayoral race and did not protest.

While, The PDM’s alliance has terminated, he claimed.

Moreover, The PTI leader blasted the Foreign Office for “keeping mum” on the Greece boat disaster.
