Quetta: On Sunday, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar called youth and manpower “vital assets” for the country’s future. He said students should given ample opportunities to pursue higher education. So that they can contribute to the state’s progress.
He said thus while chairing a meeting of the vice-chancellors of all public sector institutions in Balochistan.
The interim premier underlined the need for a plan to make universities a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation.
He emphasised that graduates should have industry-relevant skills.
The prime minister stressed the need of promoting research and creativity since an innovation deficit was connected to a research and higher education deficit.
He also asked the industrial sector to set up incubation centres for students in universities so they could conduct modern research and provide trained manpower to industries, paving the way for an industrial revolution.
The caretaker PM said higher education may help many areas of life.
He also stressed removing all barriers to higher education and bringing it up to world standards.
