Camila Alves McConaughey said, “My husband Matthew McConaughey not a stoner like people thought he was.”
In an interview with Southern Living’s Biscuits & Jam show, the model said that the Oscar winner’s stoner-like behaviour not real.
She said instead that he was more like his mother, Kay McConaughey, than a free-spirited loner.
“When Matthew and I first started dating, I thought of him as getting high, being chill, not wearing a shirt, or whatever,” she said. “And I’m like, ‘The guy doesn’t even smoke. Where does this idea come from?'”
After debunking the most common rumours, the mother of three told what the ‘Alright, Alright’ star was really like.
“He’s actually the opposite, and he’s a lot like his mom,” she said. “She’s very organised, very minimalistic, very on time, and very prepared, and he gets a lot of those traits from her.”
In 1999, when his house raided because of a noise report, the 53-year-old caught with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
McConaughey and Alves, on the other hand, fell in love in 2006. Got married in a secret ceremony in 2012.
