Webdesk: WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is redesigning its settings page with three new shortcuts, WABetainfo revealed Friday.
While, In the next app update, users will be able to try out the under-development feature that improves app settings navigation.

“WhatsApp plans to introduce the starred message shortcut within the app settings,” the WhatsApp news tracker stated.
Moreover, WhatsApp will reorganise settings for easy access. Its revealed that WhatsApp aims to include a chat list shortcut to open app settings quickly.
Users can try the new app settings UI when this shortcut enabled.
WABetainfo stated that WhatsApp is developing a username feature.
“WhatsApp is working on a username feature, allowing users to choose unique usernames for their accounts,” the news tracker said.
WhatsApp users can improve privacy by choosing a username.
“This means that instead of relying solely on phone numbers to identify contacts, users will be able to opt for a unique and memorable username: by allowing users to choose usernames, WhatsApp may offer users the ability to reach other people by entering a username within the app, without knowing their phone numbers,” WABetainfo said.
This feature is still in development, but it may allow users to privately connect with businesses, protecting their phone numbers, or even with any user.
