LAHORE: The young domestic worker tortured and abused at Lahore General Hospital suddenly worsened.
On July 24, Rizwana was critically ill at Lahore General Hospital. On Sunday, her condition necessitated ICU admission.
Ameeruddin Medical College/Lahore General Hospital Principal Prof Al-Fareed Zafar arrived at the hospital and summoned an emergency Special Medical Board meeting.
Rizwana underwent extensive medical exams by the members. Doctors believe Rizwana may need a ventilator in the next 48 hours.
Doctors said previous wounds raised blood infection and disease consequences in several places of the body.
While, The medical board notified the media that the girl has a lung infection, making breathing difficult. Severe violence has caused her psychological issues.

Due to oxygen deficiency, Prof. Jodat Saleem completed Rizwana’s bronchoscopy.

Prof Fareed Zafar said the girl was transferred to LGH in a serious condition, where physicians are working day and night to save her. A special medical board also created.

Zafar added the caretaker Punjab health minister, Prof Dr Javed Akram, is a famous physician advising him on the girl’s treatment.

Prof Fareed Zafar visited with the victim’s family and told them that no effort would spared for her recovery. He asked the family about the patient’s history.
The family feared Rizwana poisoned during marital violence.
