ToshaKhana Case: NAB obtains evidence from Umar Farooq Zahoor

DUBAI/LONDON: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) examined Dubai-based Pakistani businessman Umar Farooq Zahoor for the Toshakhana probe into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

According to sources, a four-member NAB team led by Director Rizwan Ahmed met Zahoor at Pakistan Consulate in Dubai to gather information on the sale of the expensive watch, which the PTI chief received as a state gift from Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.

According to Zahoor’s lawyer, his client met with the NAB team and cooperated.

Umar Farooq Zahoor presented the Mastergraff Limited Edition Mecca Template unique watch to the consulate for NAB verification. Moreover, Zahoor confirmed that the NAB team has examined and authenticated all rare item receipts and purchases.

Five weeks ago, the NAB summoned Zahoor in the Toshakhana case. Afterward, He met with NAB investigators in Islamabad in February.

Thereafter, According to the notice: “The inquiry proceedings have shown that a premium gift item is currently in your possession. You have case-related information. So, you are requested to participate in the CIT inquiry.

The same case’s investigators have summoned the former premier, Bushra Begum, and PTI leaders.
