Kyiv (International Desk): President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his readiness to engage in negotiations for a ceasefire in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict.
However, he stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not prepared for direct talks regarding a ceasefire. “Putin only wants war. What can a person who desires war possibly contribute to peace negotiations?” Zelensky remarked.
He emphasized that Ukraine requires continued U.S. support to maintain a strong position. Furthermore, he asserted that Europe’s presence in the ceasefire negotiations is crucial. “The situation is constantly evolving, and we are close to reaching a comprehensive agreement,” he added.
