New York, Islamabad (International News): The United Nations and Iran have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan.
According to foreign news agencies, UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson, Stéphane Dujarric, stated that attacks against civilians are unacceptable. He added that the UN is closely monitoring the situation and expressed regret over reports of innocent passengers being taken hostage, emphasizing that their release should be ensured at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Iran has also denounced the attack on the passenger train in Pakistan. Tehran strongly condemns terrorist acts against civilians, stating that targeting innocent people is horrific. The Iranian government stands in solidarity with innocent civilians.
The spokesperson for the Iranian Embassy said that innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, were taken hostage in Balochistan. He further stated that violent actions against civilians and the disruption of critical transportation infrastructure are cowardly crimes against humanity.
