Washington:
US Congressman Joe Wilson faced tough questions from human rights activists over the killing of children in Gaza and the West Bank, but repeatedly avoided direct answers, blaming Hamas instead.
When asked about the daily deaths of children in Gaza, Wilson replied, “Hamas is using them as human shields.” Even when confronted with reports of snipers targeting children, he offered no comment beyond blaming Hamas.
Wilson also ignored questions about a 14-year-old American Palestinian boy killed in the West Bank, again shifting blame to Hamas.
He has previously faced criticism for his pro-Israel stance and has received support from the AIPAC lobby. Wilson is also known for backing Imran Khan and recently introduced the “Pakistan Democracy Act” in the US Congress to pressure Pakistani authorities.
