Webdesk: In an operation on Saturday, Punjab Police forced their way into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s Lahore home in Zaman Park. This made actor Mahira Khan very angry.
As the leader of the party travelled to Islamabad for a trial court hearing, the police resumed their operation, raided Khan’s home, and found a number of weapons there.
The party says the operation was illegal and against court orders, but the police say they had a valid warrant to search the place to look into what happened.
The Bin Roye actor replied to the tweet by saying, “How the hell is this justified?”
Mahira added, “This is insanity,”
The operation was over in a few hours, and the police said they had found assault rifles and a stash of bullets at the Zaman Park mansion. They also said that more than 60 people from the same party who were accused of using violence to get around the law have been arrested.
Recently, the Zaman Park has been under a lot of scrutiny because the police went there on March 14 to arrest the PTI chief in the Toshakhana case. They fought with PTI workers for almost 24 hours before the Pakistan Super League and the Lahore High Court told them to leave.
Today, they went back to the area to catch the “miscreants” who broke the law during the March 14 operation.
