Islamabad: A spokesman for the Pakistan Navy said in a statement on Monday that a technical problem caused a helicopter to crash during training in Gwadar, Balochistan. This killed two officers and one soldier.
A spokesman said that an investigation into what happened started.
“Two officers and one sailor of the Pakistan Navy died in the crash,” the spokesman said. He added that the Pakistan Navy has started looking into what happened.
As soon as people heard about the bad thing that happened, government leaders and politicians started sending their sympathy.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq very saddened by the loss of lives.
In his message, President Arif Alvi said that he feels the same sorrow as the families of the victims at this hard time.
He also prayed for the people who had died and thanked them for what they had done for the country.
Also, Caretaker Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti sent his condolences and hoped for the high-ranking navy officers and staff who died.
“We honour those who gave their lives while doing their jobs,” Bugti said.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also said he’s sad about the crash.
Shehbaz said as he paid his respects, “Martyrs give up a lot for their country and people”.
