KARACHI: The Indian government gave the All India Football Federation (AIFF) permission to host the Pakistan football team on Wednesday. This made it possible for the Pakistan football team to play in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Cup this month.
India’s sports, home, and foreign ministers have given all the necessary permissions for Pakistan to take part in the tournament.
From June 21 to July 4, a regional football tournament will be held in Bangalore. From June 18 to July 5, Pakistan will be in India for the competition.
The AIFF sent an email to the PFF with the official invitation letter and all the necessary papers.
The papers are also sent to the Indian offices in Islamabad and Mauritius. So that visas can given to members of the Pakistan football team.
A PFF source stated that Pakistan will apply for Indian visas from Mauritius because the team is flying there to play in a tournament with three other countries.
Sources also stated that Pakistan’s foreign office has given permission for the team to travel to Mauritius, but that the foreign office has not yet decided what to do about the team’s trip.
