Webdesk: A boat explosion and emergency landing occurred during a documentary series in Hawaii when ‘very ravenous’ sharks attacked.

The “Our Planet II” Netflix crew encountered tiger sharks twice.

The crew was filming underwater around Laysan, Hawaii, where tiger sharks cluster.

The filmmakers intended to capture Laysan albatross chicks’ first months of flight. However, the fearsome sharks attacked, jeopardising the plans.

Inflatable boats were used to approach the albatross chicks. The Mirror reported two tiger sharks attacked the boats unexpectedly.

“It resembled ‘Jaws.'” Cordey said the crew panicked and made a beach landing.

The documentary’s first and third episodes’ producer and director, Toby Nowlan, recalled the terrifying experience.

Water rushed towards the crew. A tiger shark attacked a boat, causing substantial damage.

“Everything exploded.” It wouldn’t leave. It was awful. “That was our second shark attack that day,” Nowlan said.

He said, “They were incredibly hungry, so there might not have been enough natural food, and they were just trying anything they came across in the water.”

Nowlan called the sharks’ behaviour “extremely unusual” and linked it to their hunger due to a lack of natural food. The crew reached the shore safely, 328 feet distant. They still had problems.

Sir David Attenborough narrates Our Planet II, which explores animal populations adapting to a changing planet.

Netflix broadcast four 50-minute episodes on June 14. The film showcases humpback whales, polar bears, bees, sea turtles, and grey whales.
