Deepika Padukone cancels Comic-Con ‘Project K’ launch

Webdesk: Due to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG-AFTRA) strike, Deepika Padukone will not be at the San Diego Comic-Con to promote her new movie Project K.

The Project K team meant to be at the event where the teaser and title of the movie would released. According to reports, major actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati have arrived in the US to go to Comic-Con.

But Deepika, who is also a member of SAG-AFTRA, didn’t go to the event because of the strike by actors and writers.

Actors and writers in Hollywood started a protest against the SAG federation in May 2023 to fight for better labour rules.

Last week, many actors said they would go on strike because they couldn’t agree with the federation on new contracts with big companies and streaming services.

Respecting the strike, the Pathaan star skipped the big event for her big sci-fi movie.

Nag Ashwin is in charge of Project K. Its main characters played by Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, and Amitabh Bachchan. India Today says that the movie will come out on January 12, 2024.
