Webdesk: NDTV said that a couple in India sold their 8-month-old baby to buy an iPhone 14 so they could make Instagram Reels. This is a shocking thing to do.
Jaydev Ghosh and Sathi are the names of the couple, and they are from the North 24 Parganas area of West Bengal. They also have a girl who is seven years old.
Reports say that Ghosh and Sathi wanted to buy a pricey phone and chose to get the newest Apple phone.
The cops took the baby away from Priyanka Ghosh, a local person who had paid money for the baby. She was from the same area.
The baby’s mother and the other lady have been arrested, but the baby’s father is still at large. He is being looked for by the cops.
During the questioning, Sathi admitted to the crime. She said that she and her husband had sold their baby to get the phone so that they could make videos for Instagram on their trips across the state.
The police said that the father also tried to sell his daughter, but that didn’t work out.
The couple sold their son for INR200,000, the friend told India Today.
“They used the money for their honeymoon to go to many places, like Digha Sea Beach. Laxmi Kundu was reported as saying, “They even bought a cell phone.”
