MIDTOWN ATLANTA: The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and the Breman Museum quickly evacuated after a bomb threat made against them. Parts of Spring Street also closed.
When the threat made at 1440 Spring Street, the Atlanta Police Department took action right away to keep the area safe.
When the bomb warning came in just before 3 p.m., both the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta and the Breman Museum had to evacuated. Officers are looking into what happened and have closed Spring Street between 19th and 17th Streets so they can look into it fully.
During the security reaction, people told to leave the Breman Museum, which was open from 11 am to 4 pm. No one knows for sure how many people were in the building at the time of the escape.
The threat didn’t just affect the building it was meant for; it also affected the nearby Savannah College of Art and Design. The college grounds messed up by the closed roads.
This event is scary because it happened just a block away from where a bomb went off at the Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple in 1958.
The Atlanta Police Department acted quickly to the threat, making sure that everyone was safe. Authorities are working hard to handle the situation, figure out how real the threat is, and keep the people safe.
As investigations continue, police are asking people to stay alert and report anything that seems odd.
