Bangladeshi Cricketer Mahmudullah Announces Retirement from International Cricket

Dhaka (Sports News): Veteran Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah Riyad has officially announced his retirement from international cricket. The seasoned all-rounder, who was part of Bangladesh’s squad in the recent ICC Champions Trophy, made the announcement on Wednesday via social media following the team’s exit from the group stage.

In his retirement message, Mahmudullah expressed gratitude to his teammates, coaches, fans, and family for their unwavering support throughout his career. “I have decided to retire from international cricket,” he stated, while also extending his best wishes for the future of Bangladesh cricket.

Mahmudullah made his international debut in 2007 and went on to represent Bangladesh in 50 Test matches, 239 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 141 T20 Internationals. Over the course of his illustrious career, he amassed more than 11,000 runs across all formats, including 9 centuries and 56 half-centuries, while also taking 166 wickets.
