Islamabad (News Reporter): Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong has emphasized the deepening China-Pakistan ties under President Xi Jinping’s leadership, particularly in the realm of cultural exchanges. Citing President Xi’s Global Civilization Initiative, he reaffirmed China’s commitment to enhancing cultural linkages with Pakistan.

On Monday, a prestigious exhibition was held at the China Cultural Center, in collaboration with CGTN Urdu and the Silk Road Culture Center, showcasing masterpieces by the faculty and students of the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. The event highlighted the artistic creativity of Chinese painters, reflecting both ancient and contemporary traditions of fine arts.

As the guest of honor, Ambassador Jiang Zaidong remarked that the historic visit of President Xi Jinping in 2015 significantly strengthened bilateral relations, with CPEC now entering a new phase of development. Extending his heartfelt congratulations to Pakistan on Pakistan Day, the ambassador also recalled the overwhelming reception accorded to the Chinese military contingent during last year’s Pakistan Day parade.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chairman Senate Sardar Syedal Khan Nasir stated that the China-Pakistan partnership is unparalleled across various sectors, with both nations being custodians of ancient civilizations. He highlighted that art serves as a powerful medium of expression, acknowledging China’s significant contributions in this domain.

Silk Road Culture Center Chairman Syed Jamal Shah elaborated on the similarities between Chinese and Pakistani fine arts, shedding light on the unique characteristics of Chinese painting traditions.

The exhibition featured remarkable artistic creations by Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts artists, seamlessly blending their creative prowess and vision into exquisite paintings, offering visitors a visually captivating experience.

The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony to mark Pakistan Day, symbolizing the strong and enduring China-Pakistan friendship, further underscored by the presence of Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong.
