Israeli Aggression in Gaza Continues: Over 60 Killed Including Hamas Commander

Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have intensified, claiming the lives of at least 60 more Palestinians, including children, women, and a senior Hamas commander, within the past 24 hours.

According to Al Jazeera, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported 162 injuries resulting from the latest wave of attacks. Since October 7, 2023, a total of 50,669 people have been killed, and more than 115,225 injured due to ongoing Israeli operations.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society described the killing of 15 medical and emergency personnel in a recent attack as a potential war crime, adding that this represents one of the darkest moments of the Gaza conflict.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Journalists Protection Committee revealed that Israel carried out a targeted airstrike in Lebanon, killing journalist Mohammad Saleh Mohammad Bardawil, his wife, and their three children. Bardawil is the fourth Palestinian journalist killed since March 18.

Media sources and regional authorities confirmed that Israel also assassinated senior Hamas commander Hassan Farhat in a residential airstrike in Sidon, Lebanon, which also took the lives of his son and daughter.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) stated that Israeli forces bombed and killed their 11th staff member, Dr. Hossam Al-Lulu, along with his wife and 28-year-old daughter.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, expressed deep concern during a UN Security Council emergency session, stating that the targeted killings of humanitarian workers in Gaza could constitute war crimes.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, criticized the Security Council for its failure to provide relief to suffering Palestinians, calling the situation unacceptable and demanding immediate action to stop the violence.

China’s UN envoy, Fu Cong, emphasized that a two-state solution remains the only viable path to peace, warning that continued war will only fuel further bloodshed and hatred.

The head of UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency) warned that Israel’s strategy of using food as a weapon against Gaza’s civilians amounts to collective punishment.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ismail Baghaei, condemned the deliberate targeting of journalists and humanitarian facilities, labeling them war crimes under international law.
