The Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team showcased an outstanding performance in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers, securing their second consecutive victory in a warm-up match against the West Indies.
At the Qaddafi Stadium, Pakistan Women’s team won the match by 5 wickets, scoring 192 runs in 46.1 overs.
Pakistani batters Muneeba Ali and Natalia Pervaiz played responsible innings, scoring 87 runs off 113 balls and 53 runs off 60 balls, respectively. Gul Firoza contributed with 28 runs off 55 balls.
Earlier, the West Indies had scored 188 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 50 overs. West Indies batter Shabika Gajnabi remained not out on 68 runs, while Gina Glasgow scored 41 runs.
For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal took 3 wickets for 21 runs, while Nashra Sandhu dismissed 2 players for 47 runs. Fatima Sana, Diana Baig, and Ramin Shamim each took 1 wicket, giving away 35, 42, and 24 runs, respectively.
Pakistan’s team will play their first match of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup Qualifying Round against Ireland on April 9. The match will begin at 9:30 AM at the LCCA Ground.
