Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed support for a ceasefire in Ukraine, but the Kremlin has stated that several key issues remain unresolved.
Since taking office, U.S. President Donald Trump has been pushing for an immediate ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine, but no significant breakthrough has been achieved so far.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in a media interview on Monday, “Putin is in favor of the idea of a ceasefire, but clarification is needed on several issues before that.”
This statement comes as the war in Ukraine has now stretched into its third year, and the world remains hopeful for a resolution to the conflict.
Diplomatic communication continues between Washington, Moscow, and Kyiv, but no final agreement has been reached yet.
