Beijing: The Chinese government has issued a new travel advisory for its citizens traveling to the United States, advising them to assess risks before traveling and exercise caution.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China stated that the advisory was issued due to tense trade relations with the US and uncertain internal security conditions.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Education of China has also warned students wishing to study in the US. The Ministry specifically referred to a bill under consideration in the Ohio State Assembly, which includes negative provisions related to China and could impose restrictions on academic exchanges and cooperation.
This travel advisory was issued at a time when China has raised tariffs on all US imports to 84%. This move is in response to US President Donald Trump imposing a 104% tariff on Chinese goods.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce has also added six more US companies to its list of “unreliable entities,” which will make it even more difficult for these companies to do business in China.
