Gaza
Gaza/Occupied Jerusalem (news editor) At least 7 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, including 3 women and a child. According to Arab media, one attack was carried out on a residential building and the other on a civilian vehicle. After the attacks, a fierce fire broke out in the area and panic spread. According to eyewitnesses, at least 4 missiles were fired at a residential building.
Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said that hundreds of people were in the building at the time of the attack and that no prior warning was given by Israel. The condition of many of the injured is said to be critical. On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have claimed that the attack targeted Izz al-Din al-Haddad, a key leader of Hamas’ military wing, but Hamas has not responded to this claim. These attacks were carried out on the occasion of Nakba Day. Gone is the day Palestinians commemorate the expulsion of millions of Palestinians in 1948. Despite the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza, Israeli attacks continue unabated and hundreds of Palestinians have been killed in the past few months.
