127 accused including hired killers arrested by CIA

Lahore – Dr. Usman Anwar, Inspector General of Police for the province of Punjab, has ordered a crackdown against criminals and antisocial elements in all province districts, including Lahore. In this regard, DIG Investigation Lahore Sohail Akhtar Sukhera provided information regarding the CIA police’s actions and subsequent arrest of the accused.
Sohail Akhtar Sukhira stated that Lahore CIA Police arrested 127 suspects, including hired killers, blind murders, dacoities, robbery-murders, and hardened declared offenders, and recovered over Rs. 7.94 crore and 94 lakh from them. Also recovered were twenty rifles, pistols, and hundreds of bullets and cartridges. DIG Investigation Sohail Akhtar Sukhira told reporters that the CIA police in Lahore are busy all day and night catching people who are suspected of committing street crimes and other bad crimes. During ongoing operations in this regard, police teams have identified four cases of blind murder and arrested seven suspects, as well as two suspects involved in the robbery and murder. 50 suspects were arrested for dacoity and robbery, while 5 suspects were arrested for robbery and theft. In addition, the CIA Lahore arrested 61 hardened criminals wanted in serious cases. DIG Sohail Akhtar Sukhira talked about the important cases where the CIA City Division caught four suspects, Sabtain, Afzaal, Shakeel, and Talha, after finding out who killed Irfan blindfolded. During the course of the investigation, the accused confessed to killing the victim for her property. CIA City apprehended five suspects in incidents involving gunpoint and recovered 62 lakh rupees in cash. CIA Cantt. also arrested Shehzad alias Mota and Naeem, the social media leaders of the notorious Civic Gang. At gunpoint, these suspects would rob citizens who left the bank with cash in a film-style robbery. The accused would commit crimes by altering the licence plates on a white Honda Civic. Additionally, stolen property valued at over 63 lakhs, mobile phones, and a civic car were recovered from the suspect. The CIA Cantt apprehended the Wajid gang, wanted in 48 cases, and recovered Rs 45 lakh in cash and gold ornaments from them. CIA Cantt apprehended seven suspects, including five women, involved in a house robbery and recovered 30 tola of gold ornaments and one million rupees in cash from them. Waseem Abbas and Ghulam Abbas, who committed crimes under the guise of employment in prestigious fields, including the defence, were arrested, and gold ornaments valued at Rs. 1 crore and Rs. 40 lacs were recovered. Similarly, CIA Model Town arrested Shayan and Atif for their involvement in the murder of Awais Muneer during his resistance to capture. The CIA Model Town apprehended three suspects, including a woman, involved in a house robbery and recovered Rs 1.78 crore worth of stolen property from them. Additionally, the CIA Model Town arrested three suspects wanted in 95 robbery cases. The accused used to commit crimes alongside those who robbed banks. They had 62,23,000 rupees recovered from them. Eight suspects involved in residential robberies involving pharmacies and shopping malls were apprehended, and Rs. 46 lakh worth of stolen property was recovered from their possession. CIA Iqbal Town apprehended six suspects involved in dacoity, robbery, and home invasion. Additionally, 52 lakh rupees worth of stolen property and illegal weapons were recovered from the suspect.
CIA Civil Lines apprehended three suspects, including a woman, and recovered thirteen lakh twenty rupees. Staff involved in kidnapping for ransom apprehended five suspects involved in dacoity and robbery, and recovered stolen property worth more than 17 lakh rupees from them. Sohail Akhtar Sukhera, DIG of Investigation, said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the police’s top priority. With the help of the Police Prosecution Partnership, criminals will get the harshest punishment possible, he said. During this event, DIG Investigation, SSP CIA, and SSP Investigation gave out the cash and gold ornaments they had found in prosecution cases.
