Webdesk: Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy McGill on Better Call Saul, said that preparing for Jimmy McGill was harder than preparing for his new role in his new show.
Odenkirk, who is 60 years old, will be back on TV screens in the upcoming comedy-drama Lucky Hank on AMC. He will play an English professor who is grumpy and out of touch. The show will be available to stream on March 19.
The actor talked about how hard it was for him to prepare for the role.
The actor said that his new part on Lucky Hank was easier than his famous role as Goodman, in a recent interview with EW,
“Saul really did beat the **** out of me. Man, the first year was so **** hard. I was like a basket case. I mean, just how many lines I had” he said.
“He felt he wasn’t given his due and he was resentful, so that resentment towards Chuck and everybody really was a big driver of him, and just living and wallowing in those negative emotions..”
“In this case, [Lucky Hanks’s William Devereaux] has dealt with more of that stuff, but his bigger problem is that he hasn’t noticed that the world has changed around him. He has to realise it and make changes, too “he added.
