Quetta: On Sunday, quake tremors felt in the Jhal Magsi area of Balochistan.
The earthquakes felt throughout the district, causing many to flee their homes and workplaces in a panic.
The quake’s epicentre was 20 kilometres southwest of Jhal Magsi, according to the weather service. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage as a result of the earthquake.
The earthquake occurred just days after a massive earthquake shook various areas in Punjab and KP. That includes the capital Islamabad. At least nine individuals killed and nearly 160 others injured as a result of earthquake-related accidents.
Due to Pakistan’s location on the boundary between the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates, natural calamities such as earthquakes are not uncommon. Vast portions of South Asia are seismically active because to the northward movement of the Indian plate into the Eurasian plate.
Current seismic activity highlights the significance of catastrophe preparedness and mitigation efforts.
