Webdesk: Speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi wants to assist Pakistan win with his batting after bowling well.
“I’m learning to bat to help Pakistan. Shaheen remarked Saturday that he wants to win matches for Pakistan regardless of his batting position.
In the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 23-year-old batsman made 133 runs in eight innings with a strike rate of 168.35, impressing everyone.
Shaheen is hoping to contribute with the bat again as Pakistan prepares for the limited-overs series against New Zealand at home. while, He batted in the nets at the Lahore training camp.
Shaheen says he wanted to bat since U19 but never tried. Batting practise throughout rehab changed that.
Moreover, The five-ODI and five-T20I home series against New Zealand begins on April 14.
Before the first T20I in Lahore, the Black Caps left for Pakistan today (Sunday). New Zealand arrives in Pakistan early on April 11.
