Webdesk: Former captain Javed Miandad claimed that India should visit Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023.
In a podcast with a Pakistani YouTuber, Miandad claimed he believed Pakistan could visit India “even today”.
“They should definitely come,” Miandad said when asked if India should visit Pakistan.
“There should be no concern about security,” he remarked of the BCCI’s “security” concern. We believe death is inevitable.
We’ll go today. They should move back. Since our last visit, they haven’t returned. “Their turn,” the former captain stated.
Since the countries were comparable, he suggested they cooperate and enhance relations.
“Even Indians believe this,” he remarked. As neighbors, we can trade a lot. This partnership would benefit both. Unless it’s mutual.
“It cannot be one-sided.”
Miandad told media that India may “go to hell” if they didn’t tour Pakistan earlier this year.
Last October, the BCCI refused to tour Pakistan, which will host the 2023 Asia Cup. Since then, disagreement has grown.
Pakistan would boycott the 2023 ICC World Cup if India rejects the tour, according to the PCB. The cricketing authority also offered a hybrid strategy for neutral-site Indian matches.
Recently, PCB Management Committee Chairman Najam Sethi stated that giving up Pakistan’s privilege to host the Asia Cup was “not an option”.
Pakistan toured India for limited-overs matches in 2012.
The two nations have only met at ICC and ACC events in recent years.
