Webdesk: Daniel Radcliffe and Erin Darke have their first child. After photos of the pair pushing a pram in NYC went viral, the Harry Potter star’s rep confirmed the news. The decade-long pair hasn’t revealed their baby’s gender or birthdate.
Daniel wore a blue cap, black facemask, grey T-shirt, dark grey sweatshirt, and grey pants, while Erin wore a black T-shirt, blue jeans, a green coat, and tan boots in paparazzi images. They took turns pushing their baby’s blue-and-black stroller.
Social media congratulated the newlyweds. “So happy for them!” tweeted one user. My guess is a boy.”
“Albus Severus Radcliffe, you were named after two headmasters of Hogwarts,” tweeted another.
“Oh my God, congratulations to Daniel Radcliffe & his girlfriend,” remarked another microblogger. “Just yesterday I had a tremendous crush on that tiny Harry Potter and now I feel so old. Imagine him naming the baby Albus Severus or Lily Luna Potter.”
Another person said, “You’re a father, Harry,” modifying Hagrid’s line from the first book and film.
In 2013, Daniel played Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings, where he met Erin. The couple was expecting in March 2023. Daniel told Newsweek last year that he wants his children to work behind the camera. “If and when my kids exist,” he said.I want them on film sets… They should say, “God, you know, I’d love to be in the art department,” on a film set. I’d like to join the crew.”
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, released in 2001, launched Daniel Radcliffe’s career. He later appeared in other films and TV shows, including the BAFTA-winning movie Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. Erin Darke played a recurrent part in The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel and Good Girls Revolt.
