Webdesk: Meghan Markle’s dad, Thomas Markle, is talking about his daughter on national TV just days before King Charles III is crowned.
The 78-year-old is talking about his problems with the Duchess of Sussex. He says that she is the one who “killed him.”
Thomas made clear comments to Channel 7 about what Prince Harry said in his book “Spare,” where he wrote about Meghan “mourning” the loss of her father’s betrayal.
“I knew how to deal with sadness, and it was clear. This was terrible. Harry wrote in his book that she was sad because her father had died.
The Prince also said, “Every day, there was a new embarrassing picture in the paper.” Harry wrote in his book, “Thomas Markle bought a new toilet, Thomas Markle bought a six-pack, and Thomas Markle had a belly that hung over his belt.”
“It sounds like you’re dead,” the people from Channel 7 tell Thomas.
Thomas said, “Right on. She killed me, and then she was sad about it.”
This comes after Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in 2021 about how her father had hurt her.
“I really can’t think of anything I would do on purpose to hurt my child. I can’t imagine it. So it’s hard for me to figure out how to explain that,” she said.
