Rodrygo scored the winner following a rebound, securing his brace and winning the trophy for Real Madrid. The Copa del Rey win is Rodrygo’s fourth for Madrid and ends a nine-year drought.
While, Osasuna played well but lost. Only their second cup final appearance, the team has never won a major prize. Osasuna fans lit a flare to honour their team’s efforts despite the setback.

Osasuna coach Jagoba Arrasate used midfielder Jon Moncayola at right-back to halt Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, while midfielder Luka Modric was injured. Vinicius was unstoppable and key to Madrid’s goals.
Rodrygo, who joined Real Madrid from Santos in 2019, celebrates the victory. The 22-year-old Brazilian has won every Madrid trophy.
“I want to keep winning a lot more, to win this cup many more times,” he stated.
