On Tuesday, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari praised China, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey for skipping the G20 tourism summit in IIOJK.
“I salute China, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye and other countries who rejected the Indian invitation to participate in the G20 tourism meeting in the Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir territory,” he told a public gathering in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The G20 tourism conference the first formal event in the Himalayan disputed area since Pakistan suspended business and diplomatic ties with India in 2019, when New Delhi withdrew the semi-autonomous status of its only Muslim-majority region and intensified security.
Bilawal, chairman of the PPP, said the conference odd because the countries that attended also decreased their involvement.
Moreover, He pondered how tourism could be promoted in a place where half the population was in jail and over 900,000 armed men silenced those demanding self-determination.
While, The foreign minister said the Narendra Modi government supported terrorist groups in India.
“When we speak for Kashmiri human rights, they (Indian government) say we are representing terrorists,” he stated. “How they could call us terrorists when we were victims of terrorism”.
“We want peace and represent terrorism victims,” he stated.
Bilawal called Indian PM Modi “a butcher or a murderer, they started crying.”
Moreover, He pondered if those who gave a foreign minister head money were terrorists or victims.
The foreign minister defended Kashmiris in international meetings.
Bilawal stated he represents all Pakistanis as foreign minister.
“We always stand united on Kashmir cause by setting aside all political differences,” he said.
Kashmir’s international dispute centres on Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.
