Webdesk: Hailee Steinfeld recalled Taylor Swift’s call before performing in her Bad Blood video.
In the song video, the Edge of Seventeen singer stated it was “coolest” to appear among powerful women like Selena Gomez, Cindy Crawford, and Cara Delevingne.
The actor-singer told People Magazine she gladly accepted the Anti-Hero hitmaker’s offer.
“You run to the phone when Ms. Swift calls,” she remarked. “What the other side says doesn’t matter. You grab the phone.”
Steinfeld added, “It was the coolest to be a part of her music video with so many incredibly talented, empowering women.
That day, there were three of me, which was wonderful. Being part of Taylor’s universe and vision was a privilege.
Steinfeld told the outlet, “I’m literally chasing her Eras tour dates trying to figure out when I can make it.
Mariska Hargitay, Ellen Pompeo, Martha Hunt, Jessica Alba, Seraya, and Karlie Kloss appeared in the music video.
Swift also wanted Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding, Gigi Hadid, Hayley Williams, Lily Aldridge, and Zendaya in her song.
Steinfeld told USA Today about her role in the 1989 music video.
“Taylor called me when she told me about the video and said, ‘I’ll send you the treatment and it’ll explain it a lot better, (but) there’s going to be three of you!’ That’ll be great, I thought. Steinfeld remarked in 2015, “I don’t know what this is, but I trust her and it’ll be amazing.”
“When I got to set, we had a couple different ideas,” the Dickinson star said. “Taylor helped me come up with it because I was having trouble, and ‘The Trinity’ just fit and sounds awesome. I hope people to call me that regularly because it’s cool.”
