Karachi: An additional district and sessions judge denied Dania Shah’s request to file a murder case about the death of televangelist Aamir Liaquat Hussain. In June of last year, Hussain’s third wife and widow filed a FIR for “suspected murder” of her husband.
Petition said that Hussain given Rs250 million by unknown people in February of last year. Shah also gotten a video of this happening. On June 9, Hussain’s body found at his home in Karachi. It is not clear what happened.
The filed appeal says that the late host kept Rs30 million in the bank. The rest of the money in a safe at his Khudadad colony home, where he was allegedly killed. Shah wrote down what she said and named Mumtaz, Ali Javaid, Saqib, Abbas, and three other people.
Hussain, also a PTI MNA from a Karachi district, found unconscious at his Khudadad Colony home in the city last year, according to his servant Javaid. The 50-year-old man taken to the hospital quickly, but he could not be saved. He was declared dead. The head of the Chippa Welfare Trust, Ramzan Chippa, also confirmed that Hussain had died 15 to 20 minutes before taken to the hospital.
