LAHORE: The Joint Investigation Team (JIT) has initiated process to get ready the interim challan in the case about assassination attempt on former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The JIT, the sources claimed, prepared a report on leaks by Naveed, the main suspect, in the case and decided to make it part of the challan.
The TV reports also confirmed this development.
According to the sources, Naveed told the JIT officials that he made leaks on directions of a senior official. They also revealed that the evident about the role of three accused in the attack was collected, adding that the third attack was carried out the PTI ‘s container from high-rise building near Allahwala chowk in Wazirabad.
It may be mentioned here that Imran Khan and some other PTI leaders fell injured when the firing was opened while aiming at the PTI’s container heading towards Gujrat near Wazirabad. Imran Khan was immediately shifted to Shaukat Khanum for medical aid. The suspect, however, was arrested by the police soon after the attack.
The suspect who was in the police custoy, however, made several statements and his video clips went viral on the social media. The matter raised serious questions as to why and how the suspect wsa recorded and later his statements were made viral on the social media.
