Quetta: Officials say that an improvised explosive device (IED) aimed at the car of Sardar Khan Rind, son of PTI MPA from Balochistan Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind, killed two security guards and hurt one.

Attack on the convey happened when it was crossing the Sunny Shoran area of Bolan district, AC Fahad Shah told

“Two bodyguards were killed and one was hurt in the IED blast, but Sardar Khan Rind was not hurt,” he said, adding that the dead and injured were taken to District Headquarters Hospital Dhadar to be treated.

Shaukat, who works at the station house in Dhadar, told Dawn.com a lot of the same things.

The PTI MPA confirmed what the police official said by saying, “There has been an explosion that was meant for my older son Sardar Khan Rind’s convoy. Others in the convoy have been killed or hurt, but he is safe,” he said.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo criticized the attack.

He told authorities to use everything they had to catch the responsible. “The terrorists want to make people feel scared and panicked. No matter what, law and order will be kept in the province, he said.

Bizenjo also told the families of the people who died that he was sorry and would pray for them.
