Webdesk: After covering the missing Titan submarine on the Titanic expedition, cable news ratings rose.

Deadline reported that Nielsen data showed a substantial audience increase for all three major cable news networks compared to last month.

MSNBC had 996,000 viewers, CNN 706,000, and Fox News 1.43 million.

The NewsCorp-owned station had 1.88 million primetime viewers, MSNBC 1.52 million, and CNN 859,000.

Moreover, James Cameron, who visited Titanic 33 times, mourned the submersible catastrophe that killed five people.

“People in the community were very concerned about this sub,” Cameron told ABC News.

While, Titanic’s director compared the company’s submersible to the renowned passenger liner’s mistakes.

“A number of top players in the deep submergence engineering community even wrote letters to the company, saying that what they doing, too experimental to carry passengers and needed to certified.”
