Gwadar: Security forces kills two terrorists

News Editor 13 August, 2023
ISPR

Rawalpindi: The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Sunday that security forces killed two terrorists in a firefight in Balochistan’s Gwadar area.

During the terror action, small arms and hand grenades used to attack a military convoy, according to the military’s media branch.

“However, because of a quick and effective response, two terrorists sent to hell and no military or civilian people hurt,” the ISPR said in a statement.

It also said that the security forces still motivated to stop the people who want to stop the country from having peace and prosperity.

One soldier martyred, and four attackers died.

ISPR said earlier today that a soldier died in the line of duty, four attackers killed, and one caught after a shootout in the Charmang area of Bajaur district.

It also said that security forces did an IBO in Charmang because “terrorists said to there.”

“During the operation, security forces and terrorists fired heavily at each other,” the military’s media wing said.

After putting down the militants, the troops caught the terrorist whos still alive.

The terrorists caught with weapons, ammunition, and explosives, including a suicide vest. The terrorists still involved in “terrorist activities against security forces and killing of innocent citizens, especially suicide blasts,” the report said.

The ISPR said that the man who martyred, a Sepoy named Muhammad Shoaib, who was 24 years old.

It also said that the area cleaned up in order to get rid of any terrorists who might be there.

Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in terrorist attacks, like suicide bombs and gun attacks, mostly on police and law enforcement agencies in the northwest provinces. These attacks have killed hundreds of people and caused a lot of damage to property.

The last act of terrorism was the suicide bombing at the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) gathering in Bajaur, which killed over 60 people, including children.

Militancy has been on the rise again, especially since the Taliban took power again in nearby Afghanistan and the ceasefire between Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Islamabad broke down.

Cross-border violence is still going on, even though Islamabad has reminded Afghanistan many times that it has not kept its promise to make sure that its land is not used for terrorism in Pakistan.
