Webdesk: Aima Baig, a popular Pakistani singer, caused a stir after releasing Funkari, which she claimed she wrote with Shakeel Sohail.
“It took us like almost three years to make this song because I was too scared to let a solo single out because, since the start of my career, I haven’t released a solo track on which I had worked by myself day and night,” she told local media.
We wrote this song in Ramadan three years ago. I co-wrote Shakeel Sohail’s last song Funkari. I was a character throughout songwriting.”
Moreover, After her comments, singer Shiraz Uppal accused Baig of “misquoting” who wrote the song, alleging he wrote it alone.

Lady, check your facts. Shakeel Sohail co-wrote Faraq Faraq with me six months before he died. “I wrote, composed, and produced Funkari, and you came to sing it in three hours,” he continued.
While, Baig released Funkari this week, capturing longing and desolation.
Moreover, The heartfelt song trended on Twitter, proving its popularity and acclaim.
I’m astonished at Funkari’s reception. I cherish my fans’ love. “I am humbled by their support and will continue to create music that touches their hearts,” the singer stated.
