Today, the Lahore High Court (LHC) received a petition from the PTI chief requesting security and permission to attend court proceedings via video link.

Justice Shahid Karim will hear the plea tomorrow. Plea includes 17 respondents, such as the Federation of Pakistan and the police chiefs of Punjab and Islamabad.

The petition urges that state provides “foolproof security” to Imran and ensures his safety and well-being. It also seeks protection against politically motivated false charges.

IK requests no adverse action against him until proper security arrangements. Furthermore, the petition demands strict action against the respondents for their failure to maintain law and order on court premises. Finally, due to the serious threat and risk involved, the petition asks for permission to mark attendance through video/Skype link.
