In a small, private ceremony, Fatima Bhutto says “I do.”

Karachi: Fatima Bhutto, author and granddaughter of former Pakistani prime minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, married in a small ceremony at her family’s residence in Karachi’s 70 Clifton neighbourhood on Friday.

While, Her brother, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Junior, made the announcement along with a photo of the couple on Instagram.

“Delighted to convey some good news on behalf of our father, Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto, and the Bhutto family. My sister Fatima and Graham married yesterday. In an intimate nikkah ceremony at our residence, 70 Clifton,” he tweeted alongside a photo of the newlyweds.

Moreover, Zulfikar junior added that Fatima’s loved ones attended the Nikkah ceremony, which took place in their grandfather’s library, “a place that means a lot to my dear sister.”

“Due to the challenging circumstances faced by our fellow citizens, we all felt that lavish celebrations would be inappropriate. While, Please continue to pray for Fatima and Graham (Gibran). “Thank you and God bless you,” Zulfikar concluded his tweet.
