Mamata Banerjee Slams Modi: From Tea Seller to Watchman, Now Selling Sindoor

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched a fierce verbal attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that he first called himself a tea seller, then a watchman, and now he’s “selling sindoor” to save his sinking political ship.

Speaking to Indian media, Mamata exposed the so-called military operation “Operation Sindoor”, claiming it was merely a PR stunt by the BJP to regain lost credibility.
“This operation had nothing to do with national security and everything to do with gaining political mileage,” she said.

Mamata added, “I didn’t want to raise this issue, especially when delegations from different parties are touring abroad to represent India’s stance, but Modi visited Bengal today purely for political propaganda.”

She accused the Prime Minister of using his speech to further the politics of division and hate.
“It’s tragic that the PM of a country markets himself first as a tea seller, then as a watchman, and now as a sindoor vendor — all just to distract people from the real issues.”
